NC Forests - Under Fire II

This forest fire reflects the North Carolina mountains. As a Forester, my husband has had to fight forest fires in all areas of North Carolina and, as depicted by the quilts, the terrain can be very different. This piece was juried into the 2008 Journal Art Quilts exhibit at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. It will travel for a year to IQF Chicago and IQF Long Beach and will be returned Fall 2009.
