I painted with watercolor for several years before falling in love with the flow of fabric dyes on silk. That led to the fascinating and tactile joy of working with fabric and incorporating dyes, paint, thread painting, oil sticks, wax pastels and whatever else I can use to make my work complete. This has been an ongoing and exciting process. I am a realist and love the challenge of bringing my artwork to life through fabric and thread. Recently I have been using only thread to create my art - without fabric except for the backing it is stitched to. I hope you will enjoy those.
